>Lessons are targeted to illiterate female farmers. The base book underwent 6 months of participatory editing with female smallholder farmers. 
>Users have access to almost 150 lessons (190 pages) per region.
>Users can mix/match specific lessons to create customized booklets.
​>Individual lesson flyers can accompany tools, machinery or seed packages. 
>Users can insert their own text translations in Adobe using the picture-only books.

The books are works in progress and subject to further editing and lesson additions dependent on future funding. We welcome funding sponsors. This initiative is part of the Sustainable Agriculture Kits for Nepal (SAKNepal) project, generously funded (2014-2017) by the International Development Research Centre (IDRC, Ottawa, Canada) and Global Affairs Canada. An accompanying open access eBook is coming in 2018  in which key products and practices described in these picture books are critically evaluated. The book is entitled Encyclopedia of Subsistence Farming Solutions​​. This is an initiative led by students at the University of Guelph in Canada.
